Data Engineer
It was a 4-round process. The first round was a phone screen, followed by a meeting with the hiring manager. Then came a technical interview, and finally, a culture fit interview. I was feeling good about the technical part, and the hiring manager even told me I passed and what to expect next. But then, a week later, I got a rejection email. Everyone I met was really nice though. I got emails the day after rounds 1 and 2 with info for the next steps. After round 3, I didn't hear back, so I emailed one of the TACs to check on timing. They were cool enough to reply and let me know what was happening, which was helpful since I had another offer.

Marketing Intern
So I interviewed for the Brand Marketing Intern gig in Costa Mesa, CA, and it was all remote. The whole process was pretty straightforward but kinda tedious and a bummer 'cause the hiring team wasn't great at communicating. THE GOOD: It was a pleasant interview experience overall. Three interviews happened over three weeks, each about 30 minutes, with the usual questions like strengths, weaknesses, and teamwork stories. THE MEH: I really wish Ultra had better communication with applicants. I was left hanging for 3 weeks after my third interview. I only got one phone call from the recruiter during that whole time, a week after the third interview, just to say they'd have a decision the next week. Well, they didn't. Radio silence. So I emailed the recruiter and was told to wait another week because the hiring manager was on PTO. I waited, no response. I emailed again, same story, the hiring manager was on PTO (supposedly returning Monday), but I'd get my decision tomorrow. Monday came, still no updates. A few days later, I emailed again and found out the hiring manager was still on PTO (weird, since I was told they'd be back Monday?), but I was getting my decision the next day. The recruiter called the next day to say I didn't get the job and should try again in the fall. I get that interviews take time, but going silent for weeks without updates, with only one phone call in three weeks, feels unprofessional. Bottom line: the interviews themselves were nice, and the interviewers were informative (I learned a lot about the company and role), but the process needs work. I wish they respected my time, or applicants in general – seems like a common issue based on other reviews. tl;dr: Updates were rare (one phone call); you're just left wondering for 2-3 weeks after three interviews if you got an offer or not.

Partner Account Manager
It started with a quick chat with the recruiter, then I had five Zoom calls with different people on the team. The last step was another call with the recruiter. Demi was my main contact and she was really helpful, giving me honest feedback and keeping me in the loop about everything. She was always available to answer questions and was really considerate of my time, looking at it from both the candidate and company side. The interviewers were punctual, asked smart, creative questions, and were great at seeing how my skills fit, even without direct industry experience. I was super impressed with how fast and smoothly everything went, and how smart everyone was.

Client Success Manager
The interview process went very smoothly. The communication was quick, scheduling was organized and there were timely updates regarding timing and the people participating in the interview. As for the initial interview, the HR director shared valuable insight into the organization including org charts, one and five year goals and products/services that he company offers. It was really nice to see that the organization wants to be transparent with the candidates as most of the time, you "might" find these things out after being hired. Overall, the interviews were seamless, comfortable and the interviewers were very friendly. I would highly recommend applying to Ulta/Mint if your qualifications meet the openings that are posted.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- How do your qualifications align with the job description?
- Describe your approach to motivating a team.
