Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ultima Genomics.
Engineer
The interview process involved three stages: an initial HR interview, followed by a manager interview, and concluding with a panel interview. It was a disheartening experience, and the company seemed very disorganized. Even though I had a positive experience talking with the interviewers themselves, the company's candidate treatment is unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend applying unless absolutely desperate, as it felt like a complete waste of time.
- Can you share some details about your background?
Product Engineer
The interview process was pretty standard. It started with a recruiter screen, then a technical interview with the hiring manager. After that, there were three more technical interviews with people in similar roles. Finally, there was a negotiation stage. The people I met were really nice and professional. The company has recently come out of stealth and is hiring a lot right now.
- Can you tell me about your past experience and any projects you've worked on?
Product Engineer
So first, they'll probably ask you about your internship or any projects you've done. Then, you'll get some technical questions about fluids, like mass flow rate and the inflow/outflow ratio.
- Based on the images provided, what is the ratio between the inflow and outflow flow rates?
- Can you tell me about your internship or projects?
- What are your thoughts on mass flow rate?
