This job had a long process with four major assessments before you even got to the interview, then two more number assessments once you got there before you could even talk to the recruiter. The chat with the recruiter was super easy and straightforward, but they seemed to have a bit of an ego. After that quick 10-minute chat, I had to do more assessments that took about 2 hours. They really seem to like giving out a lot of assessments. Just a heads-up, if a job description looks like it should have experience requirements but doesn't, they might be trying to bait and switch you into a cold caller or collections caller role.

This company got back to me super fast after I sent my resume for the Financial Analyst job, like within a few hours. I was really hoping to land a role in a good company's finance department. I scheduled the interview for a few days later at their Corporate Office. Before the interview, I had to complete 4 assessments and a formal application by hand, which took me a few hours because I really wanted to do well. When I got to the interview, which was over an hour away, I had to take 2 more timed skills tests with another candidate to check my math skills. After that, I waited 15 minutes to meet one-on-one with a recruiter. They asked pretty standard questions for an initial interview, like why I wanted to work there and how I could contribute as a Financial Analyst. The interview was only 20 minutes, and then we talked a bit more about the role and relocating to Pleasant Prairie. They mentioned the Financial Analyst role and its availability in Pleasant Prairie multiple times. A day or two later, I got a call from a different recruiter who hadn't interviewed me or set up the first interview. This recruiter said they wanted to invite me back for a second interview for the Accounts Receivable Analyst position. This felt insulting because I never applied for that role, nor did I interview for it the first time; I only applied for Financial Analyst. To make it worse, the job was in Illinois, not Pleasant Prairie. When I asked if there was a mistake, the recruiter just said that's all they had in their file. It seems like someone wasn't truthful, the company lost my information, or they're just trying to fill any open positions. Given my Finance degree and qualifications for the Financial Analyst job, I feel this was a waste of time and travel, especially since the Accounts Receivable Analyst role involves making 150 collection calls a day.

It was a quick and easy interview process. I started with a phone interview, then they invited me for an in-person interview. At the in-person, there was a quick test, but it wasn't related to finance, more like a general aptitude thing. After that, I did a short job shadow to get a feel for the role. Then, I met with a manager who discussed job specifics like the dress code and my schedule. That was about it. A few days later, they called to see if I was still interested in the job.
