So, Uline is going through this big Oracle ERP transformation thing, and they're looking for people who know Oracle. They still use their old systems for the main parts of the business but are using Oracle ERP for financial reports and to see inventory. It's a pretty traditional place, so you gotta be in full formal wear for the interview and just, like, all the time.

Behavioral Technical

Applied in August and the hiring process went all the way to December. Had two initial zoom interviews with HR, spaced out over months, and they were identical. A month later, I had an on-campus interview. As a student, I had to miss class for this, and unlike peers who got travel help, Uline didn't offer me any. The campus interview had three parts: HR, the Business Analytics team lead, and his boss. The interviews themselves were fine, but the follow-up was the issue. I was told another candidate was interviewing the next week and an answer would be quick. Three weeks passed with no word. I followed up and was told an answer was coming soon (this was mid-November). In early December, I got an email saying my profile was moving to the final review stage. Two weeks after that, a rejection email arrived from a no-reply address. It was the best rejection I could have hoped for.

Technical Behavioral Presentation

I had a good phone screen with the VP. Before the in-person interview, I completed some really weird math and psychology tests. On the day of the in-person interview, the people at the front desk, HR, and recruiters were nice. The interviewer manager was an hour late. I got an idea of what my position would be like from this. Another manager stepped in to apologize and asked some questions, complaining about support. The person originally scheduled then stepped in and asked a barrage of technical questions from a list to make up for lost time. A third manager interrupted the second one, mentioning he was hired 3 months ago and seemed to have a lot of control. He asked loaded questions. Three interviews scheduled for 2 hours were squeezed into less than an hour. The third manager rudely reminded the second one they had to leave for a meeting, implying I wouldn't work out. I later heard from the recruiter that I was 'too confident,' though I was just being polite. I was not offered the role. It was a very messed up process.
