Uline Analyst Interview Questions
& Process

So I got a message on my college career app from a recruiter at Uline telling me to apply for a New Grad position, so I did. I got to schedule an interview for the next day! First, I had to do a personality test, then a writing test, and finally a test to gauge my sales skills and how I'd handle different scenarios. The writing one was quick, but the other two took about 30 mins each. The recruiter call was pretty straightforward, just going over my background and skills. A different recruiter actually did the screening though. They mentioned the next steps might be in-person at corporate or virtual. A couple weeks later, I got an email saying I'd made it to the next stage, which would be an onsite interview at their corporate HQ. I scheduled it for about a month out. Before that, I had to take a test on Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Access. The second round involved three separate one-on-one interviews with a senior analyst, the team manager, and the department director. They said business professional attire is expected, so a suit jacket and tie is a good bet. When I got there, I had to take two more tests on pattern recognition and identifying sequences. Everyone was super nice and helpful. After the tests, the actual interviews began. The first one was the longest, about 40 minutes, focusing on my skills and background. The manager's interview was more about how I'd fit in and team details. The director's interview was surprisingly short, and he seemed a bit put out, but he asked if I could meet one more person. That person was the VP of the department, and he was way more upbeat! Our chat turned into more of a conversation. He said he'd have someone else for me to talk to, who turned out to be a Senior VP. That conversation felt pretty personal and went really well. In total, I met with 5 people. I think I did pretty well, with only about 3 technical questions on Excel and SQL. Still waiting to hear back.

Before we hop on a call, you'll need to knock out a few assessments at home and then 2 more when you come in. These will test your critical thinking, how you think, writing skills, and your salesmanship (yeah, even if you're not applying for sales!).

The interview process was long, spanning over two months with five interviews. It concluded with either being ghosted or receiving a generic follow-up email. Ultimately, it wasn't worth the time invested.
