First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Uline.
Sales Account Manager
I went through the interview process with Uline in Irving, TX. It started with an HR call, followed by interviews with the Sales Manager and Sales Trainer. Both interviews focused on understanding my background, and there were no tricky questions. They did give me some random tests where accuracy was important. The whole thing was pretty straightforward and casual. I didn't get an offer in the end. I think they were really trying to assess my personality, which is harder to do over Teams compared to in-person. I would have preferred an in-person interview.

Territory Account Manager
A recruiter contacted me after I applied in early November. The initial recruiter screen went well, and I was advanced to speak with a regional director and my potential direct manager. That conversation also went great, and I was excited about the next steps. They then flew me out to their corporate HQ, covered my stay, and I went into the field with a current territory account manager. Afterward, I met with an operations manager and someone from HR in person. The operations manager asked some tough questions, and he seemed to be trying to find flaws in my resume, but I felt I handled it okay, figuring it was just his interviewing style. Interestingly, everyone else I met that day spoke highly of him and said he was down-to-earth, so his aggressive approach was surprising. Despite that, I was called the next day by the recruiter and told it was a unanimous 'yes,' and my resume just needed corporate approval for the salary. This seemed like the final step. Ten days later, the recruiter informed me I wasn't selected because corporate denied the offer due to my work history, specifically my average tenure of over two years and frequent moves for state changes. I was shocked, especially since I've seen similar situations in Glassdoor reviews. I took 9 assessments in total: 2 timed in-person and 7 online. The whole process, including travel, took at least 36 hours. I was ultimately rejected for prioritizing career growth over longer tenures. I should have seen this coming based on reviews. I proceeded because I really liked the regional sales director and felt I'd be well-supported by him. Sadly, the negative articles about the company seem to be true.
- Can you discuss your current performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators?
Account Manager
I applied online and got a call to schedule an in-person interview. There wasn't any phone screening, but I did have to complete 4 personality tests and 2 background checks with references. On the interview day, we had to take 2 tests on-site with about 30 other people. The interview itself was conducted on the warehouse floor, with rows of plastic chairs where we all sat. This meant discussing your personality and salary expectations right next to other candidates for the same role. It was a really uncomfortable experience and made me realize this isn't a company I want to be a part of, regardless of how good they claim to be.
- Could you tell me about your career aspirations?
