Had a 30-minute phone call with one of the department's lead technicians. They discussed the role, duties, pay, and internship length. Then we went over the interview questions. After that, they asked if I was still interested in the job, and if I accepted, we moved on to paperwork.

Behavioral Presentation

I got an email to do a phone interview. It was with HR. A few days later, I had to set up an in-person interview. I met with two people, my future boss and his boss. It was a pretty straightforward process, not too many questions. Mostly, I talked about myself, my background, and my schooling. They spent a good chunk of the time explaining the role and what the job would involve. At the end, they asked if I had any questions. You should always ask questions, it shows you're interested and can help you get the job. I got the offer right then and there.

The interview process was long and drawn out, with many phone and Skype interviews. They never offered to pay for travel to the facility for interviews. The HR department wasn't even at the location where the job offer was made.
