For the interview, they asked me one question that was based on the set government behaviours. Then, there was a follow-up question for each behaviour. The specific behaviours they were looking for in this role were 'Seeing the Big Picture', 'Communicating and Influencing', and 'Managing a Quality Service'. Following this, I had to give a presentation.

The application process started off pretty straightforward, although the civil service website has a limitation where you can't upload a full CV, which is a bit odd. After applying, I had to complete three tests: Verbal Reasoning, Numerical Reasoning, and a Civil Service Judgement test. It took about three weeks to hear back about an interview. The interview itself was a panel format with three interviewers, which felt a little intimidating. I thought the interview went well, but the feedback I got indicated otherwise. Apparently, I didn't provide enough examples of my skills, even though the panel didn't specifically ask for them. They asked general questions and didn't use prompts like 'tell me about a time' or 'explain how you would do this'. So, it seems I should have proactively shared all relevant details, even without direct prompts. The feedback turnaround was quite quick.
