It was a very easy two rounds, first with HR and then with two partners. It was very conversational and gave me a chance to talk more about my experience and how it aligns with the job posting.

I sent my resume straight to the head of the department after a professor sent me an email. About two weeks later, I got a call, but then heard nothing for three weeks. HR set up the interview, and I went in the following week. I talked to four people, and then had lunch with two junior staff members. It was pretty relaxed, no weird questions or awkward moments, way easier than a Big 4 interview. I didn't hear back for a couple of weeks after the interview. Around two and a half weeks later, they gave me an offer, which I took.

The interviewer was supposed to call me at a certain time, but she called late and asked to reschedule for later that day. She called back in the afternoon and went over a couple of my qualifications. At the end, she mentioned needing to discuss the role with a partner and promised to follow up by Friday via phone or email. I didn't hear back on Friday, so I called on Monday afternoon. The interviewer said I did the right thing by following up and that she'd let me know by Thursday. Still no email by the end of Thursday, so I withdrew my application that evening. The recruiter responded almost immediately with a nice email wishing me luck and inviting me to reach out if I'm ever looking again. I've heard the on-campus interviews are smoother, but this was pretty unprofessional. I don't get how someone can miss an appointment three times with the same person, but they managed it. I can see why they might have trouble filling positions if this is how they usually operate.
