Sales Associate
This was mainly about seeing if I was available and had good customer service skills. They were looking for prior retail experience. Since it was for a seasonal job, it really came down to my availability and personality. They were also short on good employees.
- Can you describe how you would assist a customer with their purchase from start to finish?
Sales Associate
I had an interview at a small store in Caesars Palace, Las Vegas. The interview was from 4pm to 4:50pm and I went through 2 interviews with about 20 questions total. They were easy but you had to be careful about what you said. After filling out the application, I got an email for the interview four days later. Now I'm waiting for a call back. I got hired, they said they're waiting for HR to review stuff, hopefully it doesn't take too long! You get a free pair of Uggs. You can wear jeans and a collared long-sleeve white shirt, but I'm not sure what else you can wear. They told me when I come in to fill out paperwork, it takes 2 hours and I get paid for it!
- Can you share an instance of providing an excellent customer experience?
- What would you do if you noticed employees not doing their work, and what was the outcome?
- Describe a situation where teamwork was effective.
Sales Associate
The interview process was positive. The store manager was friendly and welcoming, and we had a good conversation. Initially, it was informal, then transitioned into a formal interview. She inquired about my past employment and skills, showing particular interest in my art degree and knowledge of the company's partnership with an art auction for St. Jude's Children Hospital. As it went well, I received a job offer from her within about 2-3 days. Unfortunately, the store had hired too many people, and many were let go around the first month, mainly due to performance.
