& Process

After submitting my application, I had a phone interview. This was followed by an office interview, and then a final interview with the regional director. The company culture seems very welcoming; they shared a lot of details about working for a large property management company.

Got the interview via a friend. Sent him my cover letter and resume as a PDF, and he forwarded it to the hiring manager. Got an email from the manager for an interview a few days later. He was really nice, we seemed to be around the same age/background and had a mutual friend/coworker, so we chatted a bit. Asked standard interview questions and talked about the job. Met someone else right after who was also really pleasant, and was supposed to meet a third person but couldn't find them. The manager said he'd email me in under 2 weeks. In the end, I didn't get the job because I lacked sufficient experience in that market (I had just moved there a couple of days prior), but he said he'd keep my info on file. Was disappointed but appreciated the follow-up.

I initially applied for two positions with the company that were hiring in the area. There was a phone interview that lasted about 25 minutes. The gentleman I spoke with was extremely polite and an excellent representation of the company. He was able to have a serious conversation but also able to understand my outgoing/talkative personality. I was given the choice between which property I wanted to go for. He recommended the one that I chose, and I couldn't be happier with the decision. The interview was scheduled and confirmed with the community director. Upon arrival, there was one marketing associate in the front that wasn't too pleasant when I initially walked in. After waiting a few minutes, the interview commenced. I was invited into an office with two women. One behind the desk and another on the side of it. I didn't know who was the manager or whom I would be working for. Throughout the interview, both ladies were interjecting asking different questions. The interview took a whole of about 15 minutes. When I left, I had that "Well they didn't like me." feeling. I received a call a few days later from the gentleman I had to phone interview with. Drug testing and criminal background check were completed as expected.
