First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at UCHealth.
Associate, Outcomes and Operational Intelligence
So the interview process was like this: first, a behavioral interview where they asked about my past experiences and used the STAR method. Then, there were a couple of general technical questions about using data. They also wanted to know why I was interested in working with them and what my passions were.
- Can you explain how you go about validating data?
- What is your approach to validating data?
- Could you describe your methods for data validation?
Human Resources
The interview was easy and pleasant. The recruiter told me that they would pass my information along to the hiring manager, and I would hear a follow-up. I never got any follow-up or communication around not moving forward. The job has since been reposted. The lack of communication and transparency is incredibly disappointing.
- Could you introduce yourself?
Anesthesia Technician
This was the worst interview experience ever. They were super disrespectful. Right after the phone interview, they sent a link for five references, two had to be managers. I ignored it 'cause we weren't even at the real interview yet. The Zoom interview itself was alright, I think I answered everything really well. Then they ghosted me for a few days. I asked for an update, and they said they wanted the references done. I thought they were really interested, so I rushed to get five people to give references. It was humiliating, but I wanted the job. After submitting references, I waited days again, only to be told they were interested in a couple of other great candidates but also me. I was losing hope and found it shocking they'd ask for so many references when they were still considering others (I made sure to ask if I was the final candidate before submitting, and they implied I was). A couple of weeks later, the hiring manager called and asked if I'd be interested in a part-time role split between endo tech and anesthesia tech. I was confused; I applied for anesthesia tech, why change the job description? Plus, I'd have to relocate to Steamboat Springs for a job that wouldn't even cover rent in a high COL area. Anyway, after a few more weeks of waiting and being ghosted after that call, I checked the portal and saw I was rejected. Can you believe rejected after submitting FIVE references? You messed up my reputation with my references just to keep me as a backup. Just be upfront instead of lying. I can't imagine what would have happened if I got hired and relocated. I think I dodged a bullet; it seems like a really toxic place.
- What action would you take if a coworker yelled at you?
- What prompted your application for this position?
Financial Analyst
It was a pretty relaxed interview process. They didn't follow up much or give many details. I'm not sure if they're in a hurry to hire someone because the job has been posted for over three months. The manager also mentioned that her department recently went through a restructuring which resulted in a reduction in staff.
- Tell me about your past experiences and how they have prepared you to transition into the healthcare industry.
