Quant Risk Analyst
3 rounds total, with the first one being in person and the other two online. Each round lasted about an hour. The interviews focused mainly on financial maths and probability brain teasers. For financial maths, the questions typically involved stochastic calculus. Usually, for the brain teasers, you have to build up the solution by first simplifying the problem and then gradually increasing its complexity.
- Can you derive the expectation of the maximum of two Brownian motions?
Risk Analyst
I had a recorded video interview first, and then a live panel interview via video call with two interviewers. The video call covered general questions like introductions, motivations, situational, and behavioral questions. The panel interview was more technical and focused on assessing my understanding of the job.
- In your opinion, what is the most crucial part of this position?
Credit Risk Analyst
The HR took forever to get back to me. She told me she would get back to me the week after about the second round, but I didn't hear from her until another week passed and she said she forgot. A month later she finally got back to me a second time and said I was rejected not because I don't qualify, but because they don't want to deal with hiring foreigners unless I have a green card.
