It was a brief intro, then they asked me about my projects and some finmath stuff like martingale and brownian motion. They also asked C++ OOP questions, which I think are important to prepare for. Then we discussed Pricing Theory and why I want this job. Honestly, it wasn't too tough, but they really dig into your project details and C++ OOP is key. Don't stress if you can't answer everything.

Got through to video interview - the first part was an online assessment with games (logic and maths etc, verbal reasoning tests). It was fairly standard but you have limited time to answer and the level (for the non-verbal reasoning part) becomes increasingly harder.

The hiring process had 3 steps. First, there was a video pre-screening interview with HR about my motivation, knowledge of UBS and my academic background. Then, a technical interview with a Global Markets analyst focused on financial products (stocks, bonds, derivatives) and macroeconomic news. Lastly, a behavioral interview with an associate to assess my ability to work under pressure, analytical rigor, and professional project coherence. The whole thing took two weeks.
