First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at uBreakiFix.
Sales Specialist
I talked to 3 people from the company. It was the easiest interview I've ever done. They all seemed happy with their jobs and talked about how you can grow there.
- Have you ever tried to fix a device on your own?
Manager
High quality. Everyone is so nice and inviting. I felt comfortable with the questions and confident in my interview, I was hired shortly after. Great communication and positive environment! Excited to join the team.
- Are you able to fix a phone?
- Could you tell me about your educational background?
- Did you receive any technical training?
Customer Service Repair Technician
Found the job on Indeed and applied online. Got an email the next day for an interview the day after. The interview was with the Manager and Asst. Manager. They were very kind and professional, so it was pretty comfortable. They cared more about my customer service experience than my tech repair experience, which was nice. Most of the questions were about customer service.
- Can you tell me about your customer service experience?
- How would you handle a situation with an unhappy customer?
- What are some things you do to make customers really happy?
Repair Technician
The interview took place in the back room of a storefront where two employees were working on electronics. The managers had to look around to find me a chair, and I felt it would have been better if the interview was in a private office so we could have a proper conversation. They asked me about my past work experience and how it helped me grow. The two managers didn't seem to have prepared any questions and were making them up as they went along, asking each other for ideas multiple times. At the end, they just got up and wished me a nice day before returning to their tasks, leaving me to awkwardly show myself out from the back workspace.
- Can you share a key learning from your past job and explain how it applies to repairing electronics?
- Have you worked on repairing phones or other electronic devices before?
- What do you enjoy doing in your free time, and what are your hobbies?
