I had three interview rounds on the same day and was informed that I had cleared all of them. For the fourth round, a case study, I submitted my work but didn’t hear back from HR about the final panel. After multiple follow-ups, I was then told that I hadn’t cleared the interviews at all. This was confusing because I had previously been told I’d passed the first three rounds and only the final round was left. After investing significant time and effort in the process, the overall experience felt disappointing and uncoordinated. My point of contact the whole time was Kanka Halder from Talent Acquisition.

CV sent and reviewed even without recommendation, HR talk to confirm proper qualifications, then individual interviews with the managers for the position. The email exchange and application was in English, but the first interview happened in Portuguese. As it advanced, I would be interviewed by both national and international teams.

Hiring process is broken. Uber tech recruiter had contacted for APM role initially. I gave 3 interview rounds in a month to be completely ghosted for another month. Later I was asked by the recruiter to give interview for analyst role only to know I have been rejected w/o feedback. It is a total disrespect for job seeker's time & effort. Mind you, the whole process went on for about 2.5 months even after recruiter shortlisted my profile on their own. A similar case happened in mid 2024, where I gave 4 rounds for an analyst position after a different recruiter from Uber had contacted. The whole process took close to 3 months only to know that the position was put on hold & removed from career website as well with no update from recruiter. This is despicable and not expected from such a giant global company.
