First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at U.S. Bank.
Technology Intern
I had a really nice recruiter, and the interviews were pretty chill. There were three interviews in total: the first was with HR, the second was also with HR, and the third was supposed to be with an engineer. I actually withdrew my application before finishing that last interview.
- Describe a situation where you had to resolve an issue within a team.
Intern
The interview process was very lengthy. It took me 2 months from application to final interview and did not get the job. I went through the interview with HR, 1 hiring manager and 2 other managers, and then final interview with VP. Questions are all behavioral, and no chance to show up my technical ability. Waited more than a week until I heard back that I was not selected. It was a bad interview experience that lasted almost 2 months, I went through so much anxiety and hope and then got rejected.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Can you tell me about an initiative you worked on in your previous role?
Intern
Applied online and then heard back from a recruiter a few weeks later. The initial phone screen was pretty standard with average questions and a nice recruiter. About a week after that, I was invited to the final round, which was a video interview with the hiring manager and some associates. It was a bit strange because they weren't on video when they joined, which felt a little off. They were nice, but when I asked about their experience working with interns, they said they hadn't before. I tried to be understanding, but when I asked about potential projects or their general plans for an intern, they couldn't give much detail. I decided to wrap up the interview quickly because I was getting some red flags, especially since I already had another offer from a place where the interview went well and had positive reviews.
- Can you describe your experience with xxxx?
- What is the quantity of xxx you have experience with?
- Can you tell me about your experience?
