Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at U-Haul.
Sales Associate
It was pretty easy and a zoo. Interview. Lady was nice asked questions on my prior experience and what I did in a situation with an angry customer. Overall good experience
- Can you describe your background at your previous job?
- What did you do in a situation with an angry customer?
Sales Associate
The interview process involved a recruiter call and a phone screen. During these stages, I was asked several questions to assess my suitability for the Sales Associate role. These questions focused on my background, interest in sales, how I handle rejection and difficult customers, and my ability to build rapport with customers.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your professional background?
- What makes you interested in this sales associate position?
- How do you cope with rejection when working in sales?
Sales Associate
The company interview was pretty standard, conducted over video call. The only unusual thing I noticed is that you might set your preferred working hours, but the training program overrides that, and they end up scheduling you whenever they see fit.
- What is your availability in terms of hours?
