First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tyton Partners.
Strategy Associate
The interview process was fine. First is a call with HR then you move on to 2 back to back interviews one which is done by an associate and is behavioral and then the next is a case study with a manager. The manager I had was pretty rude and did not seem happy to be there. The vibes were horrible....
- Can you tell me about your general behavior?
- How do you approach the analysis of large datasets?
- What motivates your interest in consulting?
Analyst
So the interview started with a behavioral/fit part, which was supposed to be about an hour but mine wrapped up in about 45-50 minutes. They asked me standard behavioral questions, like 'tell me about yourself,' 'why this company,' and 'walk me through your resume.' After that, I took a short 10-15 minute break before diving into the case study part, which lasted around an hour. I think I was just really nervous and it showed during the case study, but overall it was a pretty positive experience because the interviewers seemed like nice people.
- What makes you a good fit at Tyton Partners?
Strategy Consultant
I interviewed for the Associate Consultant job in October 2023. It started with a 45 min intro call with their HR Lead. I got moved to the next round, where they told me there would be up to 2 more rounds. Each round had an hour-long case interview and an hour behavioral interview. I did the first round of these interviews. They said I'd hear back in a few days, but weeks passed with no contact. I followed up three times and still no reply. I've never been treated like this before; it takes almost no time to send a rejection email, showing they don't care about candidates' time.
- Tell me about a time you had to handle a project or task with minimal guidance.
Associate
Standard interview process that starts with a phone screening, followed by a case interview and a behavioral interview. The case interview is collaborative, focusing on teamwork rather than putting candidates on the spot. Interviewers are keen on understanding your personality and professional contributions, noting the diverse yet passionate team environment.
