Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tyson Foods.
Industrial Maintenance Technician
I had an interview with three supervisors in a small office. There were about 15-20 questions about my skills and what I could bring to Tyson. It was nerve racking because of the three supervisors.
- What can you bring to Tyson?
- Tell me about your skills.
Maintenance Technician
HR set up the interview really fast, but they seemed kinda messy. The hiring manager had a rude attitude, and it made me not interested in the company anymore. They were hiring a lot of people, and I wasn't sure they even knew why they were hiring so many.
- Do you have experience with the specific machines we use?
Maintenance Technician
It was a straightforward interview. They inquired about my previous work history and asked job-related questions. Specifically, they wanted to understand my maintenance experience and how it aligns with the position I'm seeking. We also took a tour of the plant, as many people have a different idea of what it's like, and they wanted to ensure it was a good mutual fit.
- Could you tell me how many years of maintenance experience you have?
