First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TYLin.
Structural Engineer
It started with a phone screen, then there was a virtual interview with PMs. It was a pretty straightforward interview where they asked questions based on my resume, covering things like projects and software I've worked with. I got the results about 2-3 weeks later.
- Can you walk me through your past projects?
- What software have you used in your previous roles?
- Describe your experience with specific software mentioned on your resume.
Marketing
The interview process included questions like "Tell me about yourself?", "Where will you be in 5 yrs?", "Tell us about yourself education?", "How long have you been in the industry?", and "Describe a time to had an issue and how you handled it".
- Why did you choose to apply to our company?
- Could you tell us about yourself?
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
Intern
The interview started with some casual questions about me to get to know me, then went into 2-3 technical questions relevant to the job. It felt organized and moved smoothly. There were four engineers on the panel from different areas, each offering their unique view. The overall vibe was really welcoming and supportive, making it easy to talk openly.
- Could you share some information about yourself and your background?
- What led you to apply to our company?
Project Controls Specialist
I applied through the website. First, I had a screening call with the HR recruiter. Then, I had a Teams call with the hiring manager, which lasted about 30 minutes. After that, I had another Teams call with an individual contributor, also around 30 minutes. During these calls, they just went over my background.
- Can you tell me about your professional background?
- Could you share an example of a behavioral situation you've encountered?
- Can you describe your experience with project controls methodologies?
