First, I was contacted by a hiring firm. After some phone interviews, I went on to meet with SimplexGrinnell management. Then I had two more meetings with several managers, and after that I got the official offer. The whole thing took about three and a half months.

Behavioral Other

The first step was a call where they asked about me and my qualifications. The interviewer seemed interested in hiring me and mentioned I'd be contacted in two weeks. Surprisingly, I got another call just three hours later, which was a bit ambiguous about whether it was a job offer. They wanted me to attend a two-day training, and if I liked the work after that, I could start right away. It sounds like they have good benefits, a decent starting salary, and other perks like a phone, company car, and laptop. I'm still not completely sure what the job fully involves.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I got a call from a recruiter who said the regional manager wanted to speak with me. He called me a couple of hours later and asked about my experience. He then asked how I would sell a customer, and I said I would start by asking questions. He questioned my answer, and I asked him a closing question about my qualifications. He said I would have to take the Chally test if I made it to the next step. He shared his selling philosophy about customer needs. The recruiter later called and said he liked me and I'd have another interview and receive the Chally test. I took the test, and later got a call saying I scored the highest and had another interview with the operations manager and regional manager. I had to prepare a presentation on my first 90 days. During the interview, they asked a lot of questions. I asked about the previous reps and territory sales, which led to me questioning my compensation. The regional manager then asked about my 90-day decision matrix and accountability questions, which changed the interview's tone, and I left without shaking hands.
