Interview was pretty easy, nothing like the tricky logic questions. It was more about my experience, like 'what would you do in this situation', and seeing if I fit with the team and manager, which is super important. I actually started here in a junior role, so the interview process was a breeze. There was just one interview and then they gave me an offer. It took about 4 weeks from first contact to getting the offer letter. Stuff like background checks and verifying my education might take longer though.

Initially I was hired as an Assistant manager, with a promise of promotion to Manager within 6 months to 1 year. There's usually a good budget for new hires, but HR/Department Managers tend to negotiate a lot to show cost savings, which is a poor hiring strategy. This has a long-term impact, as you might find yourself not on par with counterparts in other locations or companies. The company also has a history of firing people without proper notice due to recruitment process failures, impacting job security.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I had an initial interview with the District Manager and a Corporate HR person, which seemed to go well. They said I'd hear back in two weeks, but I didn't. I reached out, and the DM asked me to lunch, expressing strong interest but mentioning I'd need to meet the Regional Manager (RM) later. About 20 days after that, the RM was going to be in a town 5 hours away, so I agreed to drive there for the interview with the DM and RM. During that interview, the RM left and came back flustered, then they interviewed an internal candidate for the same job while I waited. On the 5-hour drive back with the DM, he said he still preferred me over the other candidate. I emailed thank yous to both. The RM replied positively, saying the DM would be in touch. The DM never did. After 5 days of silence, I emailed for a status update, which was also ignored. My emails were completely ignored, and it felt unprofessional not to even get a polite rejection. While I'm impressed with the company, their communication was poor.
