I had a call with HR, then did a simple HackerRank coding assessment which involved OLS regression and data analysis. After that, I had a technical phone screen. It was pretty straightforward, mostly asking me to walk through my current project with some follow-up questions. Unfortunately, my interviewer's second language was English, making communication difficult. While diversity is important, companies should consider this when recruiting.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you describe your approach to the sample project I pitched?
  • What would someone close to you say are your weaknesses?

Started with a HackerRank for algorithms. Then a phone interview covering background, some easier algos, and probability/stats. Next was an onsite in London with 4 one-hour interviews: 2 focused on software development and maths, and 2 on data science (identifying hypotheses in data, not the other way around) plus maths/teasers and some surprises. Finally, an interview process in NY with 7 interviews: 2 on algorithms, 1 on maths/brainteasers, 1 on data sources, 2 on motivations and business ideas, and 1 HR interview. Generally, London focused more on data science and modeling, while NY looked for engineering and ideas.

Coding Behavioral Technical

Had a Hackerrank OA test screen with 2 questions + 1 bonus question. Then, a hiring manager conversation about the role and my resume. After that, a Live Coding round, unfortunately I was rejected here, focusing on Data Structures in Python. Then a Behavioral interview and finally an ML/Stats interview. All interviews were virtual.

Confirmed questions5 questions
  • A HackerRank OA with a LeetCode medium/hard question, mostly on math and data structures.
  • Another HackerRank OA question on regression.
  • A bonus follow-up question on regression for the HackerRank OA.
