Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

I had a call with a recruiter that lasted about 30-45 minutes. Then I had an interview with the hiring manager for an hour. After that, there was a take-home case that I had two weeks to complete, followed by a one-hour panel presentation. The recruiter and hiring manager were really nice, but the panel didn't seem very interested. The interviews weren't too tough, but the case was a bit challenging. The hiring manager then ghosted me. The recruiter is still responsive and very nice, but she said the hiring manager hasn't given her any updates on next steps. It's been a month now, so I'm guessing it's probably not going anywhere.

The interview started with a recruiter call which seemed to go well initially. Towards the end, the recruiter asked for my current salary, but wouldn't disclose the compensation for the role, which was strange. I questioned this, and to avoid an awkward situation, I gave a salary range that I felt was flexible. The recruiter stated this range was higher than what other product leads typically earn, even while claiming ignorance about the role's compensation. This tough discussion resulted in a rejection email, citing my salary range as too high. I find it puzzling why recruiters try to negotiate candidates down on pay instead of being upfront about compensation.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process took about a week to get the first screening call. Then there were two more weeks until the next interview, which was great because there was no task involved. After that, it was the usual three-week wait for feedback. I was told the job went to someone with much more experience, even though the position was advertised as entry-level. It felt like a complete waste of time for candidates, especially since the feedback about my work ethic and drive wasn't honest given my experience for the role. I'd suggest not getting your hopes up with this company, as they make you wait three weeks for a decision. Their hiring process is too outdated and needs an overhaul.

Started with an online application that had 3 open text questions, some situational judgement questions, data interpretation slides, and summary slides. After that, I got invited to an online interview which was pretty informal. Then I was asked to come to a try outs day in London (expenses were paid). This involved playing netball, a presentation from the CEO, speed dating, 2 on 1 interviews, and a group task. Heard back the next day that I got the job. Some people who didn't get it had to wait ages, and some never heard back at all.
