First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Twitch.
Recruiter
The interview process was quick and painless. The initial 30-minute phone screen and then an on-site interview to meet 5 members from the team. They gave me feedback within 48 hours of the on-site interview.
- Could you describe your recruiting process from start to finish, including job order receipt to new hire onboarding?
Technical Recruiter
The initial phone call was very by-the-book. It felt like it was rushed and stressful for the recruiter because there were so many questions, but it's a chance to check for hard skills, soft skills, personality, and culture fit, which aren't on a resume. I think culture questions help candidates relax and show their personality. She didn't ask me any of those. Twitch presents itself as a hip, modern tech company, but the recruiters and their process are outdated.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
- What were your responsibilities in that role?
- What prompted your departure from your last job?
Senior Recruiter
I applied for the job more than two months ago and just got an email with a standard rejection. As a recruiter myself, I think that's a really long time to wait for a generic rejection. But, thank you. My suggestion is that your recruiting team should really enhance that experience.
