It was a typical tech style process. Started with a TA screening, then a hiring manager round, followed by a half-day session with 4 rounds involving cross-functional/peer interviews. Everyone was friendly and easy to chat with. The interviews mixed conversations with data-driven discussions and situational/behavioral questions. The TA promised to get back the following week but I had to chase them. They did provide feedback, but it was a generic template, similar to what others who didn't get the job received (the gaming industry is quite small, so candidates share feedback). So, I wouldn't put too much weight on their feedback.

So I had a recruiter call first, then spoke with the Director of the team, and after that, I had a chat with someone who's currently in the role. I got great feedback, and they set up an onsite interview, but then they actually emailed me just two days before to say they'd already offered the job to someone else who was further along.

I had a call with HR where we went over my resume. They were very nice and seemed genuinely interested. After that, I had a call with the hiring manager. They wanted to see how my experience lined up with what the role requires. I really liked that they were honest and clear about whether we'd be a good fit.
