First, I had a call with Global HR. Then, I interviewed with the Deputy Managing Director. After that, I spoke with the VP of HR about salary, discussing my current and expected CTC. No further calls were made. When I inquired, the VP HR mentioned they were still deciding on the placement. A couple of weeks later, I asked again, and was told there were no immediate roles in the Deputy MD's office, but they were looking for opportunities in other units. No further communication was received. It's frustrating to have my time and resources spent on interviews when there might not be a suitable role or if the company is not clear about its needs. While I understand if I'm not deemed suitable, proceeding to salary negotiation after two rounds and then having no follow-up is disheartening. A little empathy during this process would be appreciated, as the company needs someone and I need a job.

So, there were 2 rounds in total. The first one was a technical interview where they really wanted to gauge my understanding of the industry, like the competition, trends, and all that. The second round was an HR interview, and it was all about general behavioral questions.

Behavioral

It was a structured process focused on validating my previous experience and checking my credentials. The interviewer really dug into the details of my claimed experience. There were three interviews: a preliminary screening, then one with a senior HR manager, and finally with the department head. Once the department head gave the go-ahead, HR finalized everything.
