The interview process is a multi-stage procedure companies use to assess candidates and see if they're a good fit for a job. It usually has several steps, starting with initial screening and moving to in-depth interviews with hiring managers and maybe other team members. The main goal is to check a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and how they'd fit in with the company culture.

I had an interview for a Trainee Telecom Engineer position at TVS Sons. Pvt. Ltd. There were two rounds. The first round was technical and verbal, and the second was HR. The first round is really crucial. You need to know about all the equipment used in telecom. You also need to understand how a network tower is built from the ground up, including things like the initial network survey, choosing the right antennas for the area, setting the antenna tilt for each sector based on population density, establishing the antenna, performing pre-AT and AT of the site, and conducting a drive test. The interview experience was alright. The salary is just enough to get by, about 10000 rupees per month in hand. It's okay to start if you're a fresher, but not great if you have experience.

First, I had a call with Global HR. Then, I interviewed with the Deputy Managing Director. After that, I spoke with the VP of HR about salary, discussing my current and expected CTC. No further calls were made. When I inquired, the VP HR mentioned they were still deciding on the placement. A couple of weeks later, I asked again, and was told there were no immediate roles in the Deputy MD's office, but they were looking for opportunities in other units. No further communication was received. It's frustrating to have my time and resources spent on interviews when there might not be a suitable role or if the company is not clear about its needs. While I understand if I'm not deemed suitable, proceeding to salary negotiation after two rounds and then having no follow-up is disheartening. A little empathy during this process would be appreciated, as the company needs someone and I need a job.

It was a campus interview with 3 rounds. First, there was an aptitude group discussion, followed by a domain interview. In the domain interview, they asked questions related to the specific field, and also about your stay and if you were willing to relocate. We later found out they weren't specifically looking for finance-focused candidates, even though that's what we applied for through university.
