First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TutorMe.
Tutor
It was an easy online interview where I had to record my answers to some questions. The interview was timed, so it's important to finish your answers before the time runs out. The questions were general about my teaching style and how I'd help a student who is having a hard time.
- What are some teaching methods you can employ?
- Can you describe your approach to teaching?
- How would you assist a student facing difficulties?
Tutor
The entire process was online, with no calls or video chats. They later rejected my application via email, stating it was because I lived in New Mexico. When I inquired further, they mentioned they couldn't partner with the state due to existing business agreements. It was frustrating to go through all the questions and submit all the online paperwork without knowing this upfront. Felt like a total waste of my time.
- What makes you a good fit for being a tutor?
Teacher
They let me have a record interview, there were some questions, each question had 1 or 2 minutes to think, and when I finished one, I could see another question. But there was a problem with the internet speed of the interview website.
- Why did you apply for this position?
