First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TutorMe.
Tutor
It was an easy online interview where I had to record my answers to some questions. The interview was timed, so it's important to finish your answers before the time runs out. The questions were general about my teaching style and how I'd help a student who is having a hard time.
- What are some teaching methods you can employ?
- Can you describe your approach to teaching?
- How would you assist a student facing difficulties?
Remote Position
It was a video interview that felt poorly done and really vague. The interview didn't seem to match the job I applied for. They did send a bunch of email reminders, but it was just a weird and awkward experience overall.
- What makes you want this job?
- Explain how you would do this job remotely.

Customer Success Manager
I had a 30-minute phone screen with the HR person on a Wednesday afternoon. She said I should hear back by the end of the week or early the next week. After two weeks of silence and no replies to my follow-ups, I wrote one last time and she replied a couple of hours later to say they were going in a different direction. I got the sense that had I not reached out multiple times, I would have never gotten a response.
