The interviewer was super unprofessional and rude, showing up five minutes late without an apology or reason. They didn't discuss the role or company at all, acting like they forgot about the interview. When a specific sensor development process topic came up that I wasn't fully familiar with, the interviewer abruptly ended the interview, saying it was unnecessary to continue. While I know they hire a lot of engineers from outside the U.S., TuSimple really needs to train their interviewers on how to conduct interviews professionally.

I applied online. HR reached out about 10-15 days later and scheduled a call to discuss further. During the call, they asked about my resume details that aligned with the job responsibilities, like my Python experience and what sensors I've worked with. I felt pretty comfortable, and the call went smoothly. However, for some reason, they decided I wasn't the best fit, possibly because they needed someone stronger in Python, and I'm more of a Matlab person.
