There's a lot of discussion among people in the industry about how to make the interview process better. By better, I mean finding more great people. One idea is that really hard interviews actually lead to better job fits. But is that true? Turns out, yeah. People who go through a tough interview process often find that the company really cares about finding employees who are a good match for both the job and the company culture.

So, I had 3 technical rounds for the internship. Everyone was super nice, both the recruiters and the interviewers. They asked questions that were open-ended and really tied into the business, wanting to see how I could think outside the box. The communication throughout was really smooth and professional. Big thanks to Erin and Dustin for making it a great experience!

R1 was a 1-hour coding interview. I finished the coding part in about 45 minutes. The interviewer then asked me some follow-up questions related to the coding problem. I wrapped up by asking my own questions about Tusimple and their teams. I passed this first round, but unfortunately didn't make it past the second round.
