Project Manager
The application process was structured and clear. After applying, there was a short initial phone call for mutual getting to know. Then, a technical interview with the hiring manager took place, discussing previous experiences, projects, and motivation for the role. Additionally, specific examples from daily work were asked about. The conversation was professional, objective, and on equal footing, with enough space for my own questions.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Project Manager
I applied for a project manager job in the T&D sector. The description had requirements I didn't meet but also mentioned they'd be interested if you had experience in five specialist areas like SCADA systems. Since I have strong SCADA engineering and estimating experience, they offered me an interview. I was interviewed by two project managers (around 30-35 years old), one Associate Director and the other an Associate. Neither of them worked in T&D, so they interviewed me as a general project manager, not someone with SCADA skills. When I asked about the team I'd be joining, one said they didn't know anyone, and the other senior person mentioned knowing the Director of the whole business unit and said she seemed bubbly. The questions weren't too hard and were general interview questions. I'm not surprised I didn't get the job, maybe I dodged a bullet.

Project Manager
First, there was the portal application with some general questions. Then, a self-recorded video interview where I had to answer pre-recorded questions, some of which were repeated from the first stage. The final stage was an assessment day, about 3 hours in person, with around 30 candidates for CM&PM roles, split into groups of 3-4. It had three parts: Task 1 was an individual presentation on a topic given two days prior, but due to a glitch, we had less prep time. Task 2 was a group discussion and presentation on a topic given on the spot with only 30 minutes to prepare. Task 3 involved individual interviews with 13 fixed questions, many repeated from earlier stages, no personalized questions. The assessment day staff were nice and the day itself was organized, but there was zero communication. I tried contacting them multiple times by email and phone but got no feedback or updates at any stage, or even after. I was ghosted after all these stages. Other candidates had the same issue. Ghosting after so many stages and tasks is really bad for a company like T&T.
- What makes you want to work for a construction consultancy firm?
- Tell us about a T&T project that interests you. Who were the main people involved, what services did T&T offer, and what were the potential risks and difficulties?
- Can you share a time you faced a challenge and explain how you handled it?
