Recruiter
Had 3 interviews over Microsoft Teams. It was pretty basic, just talking. They reached out to me on LinkedIn. They seemed to have things together, and I'd rate their communication as 7/10. It was a positive experience overall, but they could do a better job getting candidates ready. The company culture seems nice, and they do care about personality fit.
- Would you be okay with a hybrid work schedule?
Senior Recruiter
It started with a 20-minute screen call and then a first round interview with two people. During the interview, it was obvious that the environment is fast-paced and highly competitive. The interview experience wasn't the best, and I never got any feedback. As a candidate, it wasn't the best experience I've had.

Embedded Software Engineer
A recruiter reached out to me about a role, and I had an interview. They told me I needed to have an incorporation in Ontario to move forward. I quickly set up my incorporation in one business day, which cost me around $300 CAD plus accounting fees. After incorporating, I tried following up with the recruiter and team lead multiple times, but got no response. Communication just stopped after I met their requirement. It felt misleading and unprofessional. I spent time and money based on their instructions, and then they ignored me. I'm sharing this so future candidates know what to expect and can avoid this.
- Could you establish an incorporation and begin working right away?
Digital Recruiter
I got a message on LinkedIn about a Digital Recruiter job. I said I was interested, and they set up a phone call that same day to chat about the role. After that, they told me I had to do the PI Assessment before they'd consider moving me on. Once I finished that, they reached out to get my availability to go meet the director in person for a 30-minute interview. When I got there, I found out I had to pay for parking, and they didn't pay me back for my time. The Director was nice, gave me some water, and I got to meet the team in a separate room. After talking more about the job, I realized it wasn't really the right fit for me, but we finished the interview anyway. The Director said he had a few more people to interview, asked if I had any more interviews, and then we said goodbye. I got an email two weeks later saying they chose someone else, but then I saw the same job posted again on LinkedIn a day or two after that (and it's still up). In the end, it was the right choice because I'm not a fan of a low base salary plus commission.
