& Process

There were two rounds of in-person interviews. First with the direct manager and then with the president of the program. They asked questions about my past experience, organizational skills, and education. Pretty easy questions overall, mostly focused on whether I could handle all the tasks and multitask well for this role in the School of Medicine.

It all started with me networking to a friend who worked for the University. They gave me a referral to the hiring office, and then I applied online for the job. I got a call within about 2 weeks and from there the interview process began. The first call was a screener with the office director, and they then invited me to have a phone interview with two current employees, which happened a few days after my first call. The call was really nice and conversational, with some behavioral interview type questions. Then came the in-person interviews, which were about 2 hours long with three different groups of interviewers. The questions were pretty conversational with some behavioral questions again. I got an offer within a week after the final interviews.

The interview was a panel conducted via Zoom with 5 people, including the hiring manager, current employees, and board members. I would have preferred an in-person interview to better direct my energy and attention.
