Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TUI Group.
Graduate Program
I had to take some preliminary online tests before the interview, which turned out to be particularly difficult and complex. Unfortunately, I didn't pass them. The tests were about verbal, numerical, and logical reasoning, testing my skills in different cognitive areas. Despite my efforts, I couldn't pass them.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Graduate Scheme
First, there was an application form, then some tests, followed by a phone interview and then an assessment centre. The assessment centre included a group exercise where we had to plan a holiday and then present it. You need to be aware of the brands. After that, there was a case study with two people where we discussed company issues/goals and how to tackle them, followed by questions on our proposed solutions. Finally, there was an interview with two assessors. The whole day felt relaxed and gave the impression of a great workplace! It's very competitive, so definitely speak up during group tasks. Do lots of research beforehand!
- What aspects of your degree did you find enjoyable?
- Can you share an instance where you successfully overcame a difficult situation?
- Describe a situation where you identified an area for improvement and implemented changes.
Graduate Program
I applied for the graduate program online. After that, I had to complete a quick assessment on the website. Later, I was contacted for a phone interview. During the call, they told me how many people applied, my chances of getting selected, and what the next steps would be. The interview mainly focused on whether I had any prior experience in Hospitality.
- What made you apply for this role, considering you lack a hospitality management background?
