Product Manager
I had an initial chat with the hiring manager and was then informed by the recruiter I was moving forward. However, Tubi then shared that new fiscal year information might impact the hiring timeline for this role, and the recruiter promised an update by the end of the day. After a week of no contact, I sent a follow-up but still haven't heard back. Despite enjoying the conversation with the hiring manager, the recruiter ghosting me was unprofessional and gave me a poor impression of the company.

The whole process took about a month from applying to the virtual onsite. First, there was a 30-minute recruiter call asking basic questions about my background. Then, I was supposed to have a call with the hiring manager, but it never happened. Instead, I got a take-home test with 4-5 SQL questions and a case study, which I had to complete in a week. After submitting it, the recruiter said they wanted to move forward to an onsite interview. The onsite involved talking to 6 different people for 30 minutes each. All the questions were hypothetical, and the interviewers didn't seem very prepared. One interviewer's questions were particularly strange, like asking what I'd do if they refused to help and said they wouldn't be convinced by anything I said. After the onsite, I got an automated email saying they were moving forward with other candidates, not even mentioning the onsite interview.

Applied online. Heard back from a recruiter in a couple days for a quick chat about standard questions. Then had a HM screen shortly after, where they asked about my background and then we did a whiteboarding exercise on programmatic server systems. The interviewer seemed disengaged and even mentioned being late to previous meetings. Got rejected the next day; fast turnaround but no feedback, felt a bit impersonal. My guess is my answers weren't technical enough, so focus on specifics if you interview here.

- How would you draw the server relationships between SSP and DSP?
