The interview felt really relaxed, pretty much like a conversation with just one interviewer. Even though I usually get super anxious before interviews, I wouldn't have stressed if I'd known this one would be so chill.

So, I applied for one job, but ended up interviewing for another. The HR person told me the hiring manager was interested in my background for their role, even though I have about as much experience in this one as I do the one I applied for. I kind of doubt they even submitted my application for the original role. My in-person interview was set for the same week as this correspondence happened, but they rescheduled it once. They mentioned interviewing two other candidates the following week and that I'd hear back after that. Three months later, I got an automated rejection email, which thanked me for my 'recent' visit. It all felt a bit shady and unprofessional.
