First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TSC Apparel.
Business Development Associate
Had a quick phone chat about my background and the job. Then there was a personality test where you're supposed to always prioritize sales/business. The first in-person interview was with the recruiter, who explained the role, asked about my background, and gave me a tour. They asked a couple of questions about why I'm interested in sales. Then I had a second in-person interview where I shadowed a BD Associate and a BD Specialist. After that, I met with two managers and answered questions from a worksheet. Overall, it was a comfortable interview process.

Customer Service Representative
I applied online and less than a week later, I had an interview with the Call Center manager and two HR people. The interview itself lasted about half an hour. I wore a suit, even though the workplace has a casual dress code. Despite usually being nervous for interviews, the interviewers were really professional and knowledgeable about their industry, giving me a great first impression and a really informative and welcome experience.

Inside Sales Representative
They seemed to have a really thorough process with tests and questions. I got a callback, but it turned out not to be the right fit for me since I'm not a big fan of a lot of cold calling sales. The people I spoke with were all pretty young, but they were super detailed and prepared. I liked them, but the more they described the job, the less I wanted it. It would be great for someone who's more outgoing.
- What are your five-year career aspirations?
Recruiter
I had a phone screen with the intern, then an in-person interview with the HR Director. Both were pretty easy, but the in-person interview felt a bit strange. I actually interviewed for this role last year and was really close to getting it, like they told me I was the next top candidate. So when I saw it posted again, I applied and shot HR an email. They got back to me fast and set up a phone screen, which was pretty standard. A couple days later, I got an email for an in-person interview. They said in the email it would be a panel interview with a bunch of managers. Since I knew this might happen, I asked about it. The email also included a copy of the application and said, 'if you do not have access to a printer please come early to fill out the application.' I don't have a printer, so I showed up early to fill out the paper application. When I got there, nobody was at reception to greet me. I waited about 10-15 minutes, watching people walk by, and mentioned I was there for an interview. Eventually, someone went to get the HR person. I sat with the HR Intern and someone from payroll. (No idea why.) All they asked was, 'do you have any questions for us?' and gave me the application. Then I had to wait a good 20-30 minutes for the Director, even though they knew I was on my lunch break (which was also in the email). The Director seemed more concerned about why I hadn't brought a filled-out application and about me using 'we' instead of 'I' in my answers. I managed a team, so I figured 'we' was appropriate since we all did the work. For some reason, that was an issue. Then I found out it wasn't a panel interview at all, just with the HR Director. The whole thing felt off, and I was glad to get the rejection email. I did ask for feedback since I was a top candidate last year and now seem to be at the bottom, but I never heard back. My experience or personality hasn't changed. I don't think they know what they want. They're growing, but I'm not sure it's for the best. I had a great experience interviewing the first time and was excited to interview this time, but this whole experience has put me off this company.
