Engineering Manager
The application process was incredibly slow, taking two months just to get a recruiter call. Referrals were necessary to even get past the initial application, as direct applications led to automatic rejections. Despite interviews being described as informal chats, they felt quite formal. After two roles and two interview cycles, with positive feedback in the first and a great hiring manager interview in the second, I was rejected without explanation. Chasing the recruiter for five weeks yielded no response, and eventually, I received feedback that contradicted my initial interview experience. The company's 'good people first culture' seemed disingenuous, with the overall experience feeling disorganized and disrespectful of my time.

Software Engineering Manager
First, there was a screening with the hiring team which was friendly and positive. Then, a cognitive assessment. After that, a technical interview which was more of a chat and going over my experience, pretty easy. Finally, a culture interview based around their values. Some strange questions here which lacked clarity. They did say the format of the culture had recently changed. I feel this is where I fell short. Things that went wrong: I gave my availability for interviews but the hiring team booked a completely different day for the technical interview. Rather than going back I moved my calendar around to accommodate. After going through the whole process, I received no offer, no feedback - absolutely nothing! I chased the hiring team after a week and they said they would call me but received no calls. I followed up asking for feedback via email but again nothing. I felt this was extremely rude.

Engineering Manager
It was a pretty straightforward and light interview process. I had an initial call with a recruiter, followed by two more interviews. The second interview focused on systems design and technical topics. The final round was a culture-focused interview. They asked standard questions throughout.
- Can you describe your experience in managing large-scale teams?
