I put in my application online and a few days later got an email to call and set up an interview. It was scheduled for about two weeks out. I had to drive to the recruiter's main store, which was maybe 30 minutes away. When I got there, I told the person at the front desk why I was there. She seemed nice, but super chill. When she called the recruiter, it sounded like she was talking to a friend, not her boss. The recruiter came out maybe 2-3 minutes later. She seemed nice, shook my hand, and took me to an office. I felt like I missed out on a chance to really show who I am because she was so eager to leave! She talked super fast and I could barely understand her. She kept stumbling over her words, saying she was just ready to head home (my interview was around 4pm). She gave me the rundown on the job and the company. She asked if I read the job description and if I had any questions. I asked about the travel part of the job. She explained it's a 'floating position' where you go to different branches to help out, train tellers, or cover for managers who are out. She said they try to keep travel within 30 minutes of your home base.

This was my first teller job. The interview was super short, only about 15 minutes. They asked me about my previous jobs and how people see me. Also, why I wanted to work at a bank and about my schooling. I got the job offer for a part-time teller position the same day, they offered $10 an hour with up to 27 hours a week.

So the first interview, I had it with two people. They were super nice and made me feel comfortable the whole time. It was kind of like a chat, not super intense. If you get a second interview, it'll be remote because one person is in Florida. They're really trying to see if you're a good fit, not just for the job, but personality-wise too.

The pay for this role is not great given the responsibilities. The interview questions were pretty simple. The interviewers were nice but seemed to be in a hurry, with interviews scheduled every half hour. When asked about my desired salary, the interviewer noted it was a bit high for a starting position, which was disappointing given my nearly 9 years of banking experience and desire for better compensation.
