First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Trupanion.
Account Manager
It started with the recruiter calling me for about 30 minutes. It was pretty casual, they talked about the job and culture, asked why I wanted to leave my current role, and about my work history. Then I had an in-person interview with three people, each covering a different region (West, Central, East). Each part was 30 minutes and had typical interview questions, mostly situational ones about my experience. They offered me the job a few days later.
- Can you describe a time when you exceeded client expectations in your current role?
Account Manager
The process was super simple. The first interview is with a recruiter, and the next interview is in office with several employees and management. They move very quickly; I believe I submitted my application and was reached out to several days later.
- Can you tell me about your background?
- What made you interested in Trupanion?
- What aspects of your previous role did you enjoy?
Account Manager
The process included a phone interview, then an in-person interview, and finally a job offer. Things move fast if you've got the right stuff. They're really checking if you're a culture fit and want to stay long-term (like 5+ years), and if you're a real animal lover, especially pets.
- Can you describe your experience with cross-selling and provide examples?
- Tell me about a time you had to overcome a customer's objection.
- How much do you like dogs and animals?
