It was basically a few phone calls with the managers and then some zoom meetings. The whole thing took a little while, but the questions weren't super hard and you didn't really need to know about welding, just be willing to learn.

The interview kicked off with a presentation about the company and some basic compensation info. They also detailed the Trumpf's FSE six-week training plan (four weeks in CT, two weeks at a customer's site). You find out which product line you'll be working on during training. I went in thinking I'd service Trubend models because the presenter was the Bend Supervisor. So, I focused my prep on Trubend. I didn't realize others in the virtual room were also interviewing. I even greeted them and introduced myself. Everyone, including the presenter, was in t-shirts. The actual interview was pretty simple and relaxed. The technical questions were really basic. I couldn't believe how easy they were, especially since I messed up three simple circuit questions. They asked the usual personal questions too.

The interview was short, around 30 minutes. They explained that the job mainly involves repairs at the branch, with travel only when necessary. However, the job offer wasn't what I applied for, so I felt like I wasted my time going to Trumpf for this interview.
