Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Truly Nolen.
Sales Representative
We had three in-person interviews where we talked about your background in customer service and your knowledge of both outside and inside sales. We also discussed your experience working in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment, as well as your personal goals.
- Can you provide an example of a past experience dealing with a difficult customer?
- Share an instance where you successfully satisfied a customer.
- What is your experience like when prospecting for customers?
Sales Representative
I started with a recruiter call where they asked typical questions about how I'd handle customer inquiries and overcome objections. Then, I had an in-person interview with company execs and the branch manager, and they asked the exact same questions. I wasn't impressed by the process. The interview was over an hour long, maybe to get me to talk more and slip up?
- How would you handle customers' objections?
Sales Representative
This was my first step in the hiring process. I had a call scheduled with a Corporate Recruiter who called exactly on time. She gave me a full overview of the hiring process and about Truly Nolan. She made the interview process very pleasant. She asked questions about how I would handle situations or react to policy changes at a previous job. She was very friendly and professional, like all Truly Nolen staff I've met. This was the first step. I will next interview with the District Manager, and then my local operations Manager.
- Tell me about a time you declined to sell a customer something they did not require.
