First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Truist.
Customer Service Representative
The interview process at Truist was structured but slow. After applying online, I completed a one-way video interview with behavioral and customer service questions. Communication between steps was limited, and I waited about one to two weeks before hearing back. The process felt professional but required patience, as updates were minimal until a final decision was made.
- Describe a situation where you delivered exceptional customer service.
Customer Service Representative
The interview involved several questions and a review of the job responsibilities. It was a very standard and uncomplicated process, typical for a bank or financial institution. Candidates were encouraged to ask follow-up questions.
- Tell me about your banking skills and customer service background.
Customer Service Representative
This was a basic STAR interview. The two interviewers seemed to think I was overqualified based on my resume. At times, they didn't understand my answers because I come from a legal background and my examples are from a legal POV, so I had to explain things in simpler terms.
- Tell me about a time a customer asked you to do something against company policy.
