Interview went good. We talked about benefits and qualifications. I never heard back from the recruiter though. Turns out the position was only open to internal candidates. It would have been nice if that was mentioned in the job posting.

Technical Behavioral Case Presentation

So the interview for a Senior Business Analyst is like, a few steps. First, a recruiter calls you. Then you might have a couple of technical interviews where they check your data analysis, how you get requirements, and if you know the business stuff. They also do behavioral interviews, asking how you'd handle stakeholders and communicate, using 'tell me about a time' questions. Sometimes there's a case study or a task to see how you solve problems. The last interview is usually with someone more senior to see if you think strategically and would fit in. You'll need to show you know SQL, Power BI, Agile, and how you use analytics to help the business.

Behavioral Technical

I was contacted by a recruiter via email to confirm my skills for the role. I confirmed I had the skills and experience needed. Then I was asked to do a Modern Hire recorded interview. After that, the role was re-opened for applications and I got an email saying the hiring manager and recruiter were looking for a subject matter expert with management experience, which I am. I think being at a competitor in sales hurt my chances. Don't expect career growth at Truist Financial.
