I completed a personality assessment, then had two rounds of interviews for the community manager role specifically for AT&T's client. The first interview was with a senior person and went really well, I thought I had it in the bag. But the second round was with the direct manager, and she was kind of cold and asked really basic questions. I asked her how long she'd been there and it was only a few months. I had some technical issues on Google Meet during the interview, not sure if that was it, but I don't know why I didn't get the job based on the feedback.

Behavioral Case Other

The interview felt a little awkward and not very welcoming. The interviewer seemed uncomfortable but was honest. The interview itself wasn't bad, but their concerns and expressions made it clear early on that it wasn't a good fit. They said they're looking for someone focused on 'listening' on social media, which sounds more like an Analyst role, not a Community Manager focused on events, creative, and campaign planning. The job description and title seem mismatched. Their questions were all over the place, suggesting they're unsure about the ideal candidate. I asked about the company's goals and the future outlook for this role, but it didn't seem promising, and they appeared uninspired by their own structure. They then asked about skills, which is normal, but when the salary came up, I mentioned my range of $70k - $95k, standard for Manager roles. They said that range was for Senior roles, which is incorrect and suggests they underpay Managers and lack the budget. The job posting says one thing, but the interview and hiring process reveal something different, with salary expectations not aligning. This indicates the company undervalues its workers and might not be profitable long-term unless they change their approach.

The interview was pretty standard, with a phone screening and then a video interview. Nothing too crazy to report, just wanted to fill out the text box because the minimum word count is 30.
