First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at TrueNorth.
Community Impact Intern
I applied and then went to a career fair where I connected with a talent acquisition specialist. She set up a call with me to ask some questions to see if I would get an interview. A few days later, she let me know that the Director liked her notes from our conversation and scheduled an interview for the next week.
- When working on a team project, what role do you prefer, and what responsibilities do you usually take on?
Software Development Engineer In Test
My interviewer, Nayla Corteguera, was great. She started by introducing TrueNorth and gave a really positive and objective outlook on the market. She clearly knows a lot about technology and did a good job explaining the job and TrueNorth's goals.
- Can you discuss your availability?
- Can you tell me about your profile?
- What relevant knowledge do you possess?
Technical Project Manager
The first interview was great; the interviewer was nice and informative, explaining the company, the job, and the process. They asked questions about my background and the role. After that, I had to prepare a detailed case study for the next interview. The second interview wasn't as good. The interviewer seemed distracted and apologized for it. When they described the role, I mentioned I might not be the best fit and explained why, but they brushed it off. The interview went on for two hours, and the questions increasingly focused on the area I said I wasn't an expert in. Overall, the hiring process was structured, but they didn't seem to listen to my concerns, making it a waste of time for everyone involved.
- How would you communicate negative news to a client?
Technical Business Analyst
The first interview with HR was straightforward and to the point. They were very clear about expectations, conditions, and what the next steps in the process would be. It started with a brief introduction to the company and the position, followed by an English assessment. Then I introduced myself, and we concluded by discussing conditions, expectations, benefits, and the next steps.
- How do you feel about your English proficiency?
- Can you describe your typical role and daily tasks across your past projects?
- What are your salary expectations?
