Assistant Store Manager
I met with the Store Manager at the Mall for the position and had an impromptu interview right then and there. She then set up a second interview with the District Manager for the next week. It took about three weeks total for them to make a final decision and give me an offer.
- What's your greatest weakness?
Store Manager
The interviewer was really outgoing! This process was pretty different from the usual retail interviews. The Store Manager was focused on ME and how I'd connect with a customer if I was their first point of contact. She started by reviewing my resume, then asked me to describe my work history in as much detail as I wanted. She had a list of questions and picked the ones she wanted to ask. It was a really quick process overall.
- Could you describe yourself, focusing on aspects outside of your professional life?
- Share an instance where you faced a challenging situation at work.
- Tell me about a time you had to finish a task without having all the required resources. How did you manage it?
Store Manager
I met the District Manager when she was walking around the mall looking for new people to hire. She was really nice during the interview and asked me about customer service and how I coach my sales team.
- What made you want to apply?
- How do you coach a sales team?
